Hello
friends,
Today Lory, Kati
and Peter went to Izzet’s house in the morning, who had invited us to breakfast
yersterday. He lives outside Diyarbakir and we took a bus there. Izzet received
with us with much gratitude and prepared a delicious meal in the balcony of his
house. Everything was beautiful and we had long conversations until 14:30. After
we went back to the hotel to rest a little bit from the excessive heat, but it
was a failed attempt because there were lots of noise due to rennovations in the
hotel rooms. A while later the water and light went out in the whole
neighborhood. But with the faith we have in good things, later everything went
back to normal.
Lory and Kati went
to have a cafe in a place close to the hotel while Peter searched for a place to
do photocopies with the flyers with the invitation, but we couldn’t manage.
Huseyin called to say we would meet at 18:30. He told us it is very difficult to
find the program Corel Draw in Diyarbakir, so tomorrow we’ll try again close to
the bookstore. In the meantime, Lory and Kati met with a husband and wife who
live in Varto (Mus). We gave them flyers from Gaziantep and they know that there
is the book in the Van bookstore.
We went Kati,
Lory, Peter and Yuksel to a place in the old city center, a kind of courtyard
inside a bazar where we met a friend who has already participated in ceremonies
in Ankara and Diyarbakir . We talked to her, with Huseyin’s translation, since
she only speaks Turkish.
At 20:30 we went
to eat close to the hotel and after to the salita to see its conditions. We will
obviously clean it up tomorrow morning.
At 23:45 we went
to pick up Eliana at the bus station for the buses coming from Batman airport.
Eliana arrived perfectly and we went to the hotle where, after having arranged
for her room, we chatted in the hall of the hotel until 2 in the morning, with
chai. Very amiably the night personnel let us smoke so we happily chatted of the
tour, of the experiences in Attigliano and Casa Giorgi, of historical places in
Turkey.
It was all joyous
and fun.
Tomorrow we will
organize everything in the bookstore and do photocopies to start our invitation
action.
A big
hug
Huseyin, Lory, Eliana, Kati and Peter
