Hello friends,
Today, June 4th, was the second day of the
tour. In the morning
Eduardo and Alvaro went to make copies of the flyers we are using to invite
people to the bookstore to get to know the book of the Message. In the
meantime, Yüksel called the president of an Alevi association in Kadiköy, so
that when Eduardo and Alvaro came back the 3 of them went to visit this man. It
took them 40 min. to come and go. This is how big Kadiköy is, with its more
than one million residents.
In the meantime, Judit and Peter went to the
garden of the big café where we went to have chai yesterday to call our friends
in Ankara. We managed to talk to Olcay, Altug, Ümit, Handan, Methap and Aylin
and talk to them about the presentations in Ankara in different places: a café,
a library and the big Alevi center. We already have good contacts in these 3
places and now Zehra’s husband is the president of the Alevi center. So this is
very good. We agreed that Olcay and Bülent (who was by Olcay’s side when we
called) will organize something in the first 2 places and with Mehtap we agreed
that she would talk to Zehra to set something up in the Alevi center. Mehtap
told us that tomorrow they will meet in the Ankara salita for their weekly
meeting and will talk about this issue. After she will send us a message with
the information.
A short while later Yüksel, Eduardo and Alvaro
also arrived to the garden, telling us that the meeting with the President of
the Alevi organization went very well and that he is interested in offering us
the big room where they do the Semas. We can also do ceremonies with the
people. So very good, because there will be lots of people. The only thing is
that he wanted us to do the presentation on June 10th when they will
inaugurate a new building which is very big. We can’t because we will be
travelling to other cities but we will see when this presentation could take
place.
Yüksel told
us that in Izmit we will do a presentation in a small bookstore on June 6 and
7. Izmit is an hour and a half away from Istanbul by bus.
Afterwards,
we went to eat at our usual place where the food is always very good and inexpensive.
At 17h we went to the café in front of the IMGE
bookstore, where we met Aurora, Ariane and Zoë, who were back from their tour
of the Cisterns, the Blue Mosque and the small Haya Sofia. We started giving
out flyers and talking to people at the same time that others prepared the
small table with the books in the bookstore. Some made askings that good things
happen and that people who recognize the Message inside them approach. A very
beautiful things happened with some people, something touched them internally
and they immediately reacted. Five persons left contacts to meet us again and 2
directly bought the book. Other contacts said they would come tomorrow. The
beautiful thing was that at 19:15 we decided to stay a bit longer and exactly
after that time we had some very good contacts. A woman who was in her car,
about to go, her car in front of the bookstore. But she looked at the small
table. Peter was outside the door and gave her a flyer and asked if she spoke
English. She actually spoke English perfectly well. She reads the pamphlet and
asks if she can buy the book right away. Peter says yes. She turns of the car,
gets out and goes directly to the cashier to ask for the book and pay it.
Afterwards she goes to the table and asks for a dedication. Everything very
fast and with good energy. And then she left her contacts. Another example, Zoë
talks to a girl on the streets and gives her a flyer. Peter sees the girl
walking in the direction of the bookstore carefully reading the flyer. He looks
at her (she is walking on the other side of the street) and she lifts her head
to look at the bookstore and stops. Peter makes a gesture that she come closer,
she crosses the street, they greet each other and he invites her to the table.
She sits and Yüksel talks to her. Everything very smooth and beautiful. She is
one of the persons who left her contacts. A while later, when everything is
finished, Zoë, who was still handing out pamphlets met a young boy and he
wanted to know more. So Zoë runs up to us and asks for a book to show him. After
they come back together and the boy introduces himself. He speaks many
languages and comes from Morocco, but lives in Kadiköy. He also leaves his
contacts and wants to come back tomorrow to talk some more. All this in a
corner of the street outside the bookstore. Very much fun and joyful. Also
Judit interested a lot of persons by holding the book, they went inside to talk
to her. So beautiful experiences, some of which filmed by Alvaro.
It was already 20h when we decided to go together
to the seaside to watch the sunset, which always produces magnificent skies.
There, Alvaro asked Judit, Peter and Yüksel to talk about their experiences of
the first two days in front of the camera.
We went to the house/salita to do Service and
Well Being ceremonies, to send energy and well being to our friends in need. A
beautiful atmosphere was created, with hugs in the end. Yüksel did the service
in Turkish and Eduardo and Alvaro guiding the Well Being in Turkish and
Spanish.
Yüksel decided to cook some good food and
Eduardo and him went shopping for the ingredients. In the meantime there were
lovely conversations. The food was excellent! Husyein had arrived from
Diyarbakir and everyone was very happy to see him and so was he.
At one thirty our friends who are at the hotel
left and Eduardo, Nacho, Yüksel and Judit took Huseyin to Jöntürk’s house where
he will sleep.
Again it was a very special day, difficult to
transmit because it was so airy in how it unfolded itself, bringing us good
surprises and a fluid and happy closeness.
