haftalık toplantı / weekly meeting (29 Şubat / February 2012)

Hello friends,

Today started with a date at the Ardiç cafe with Olçaytug who had to take us to the place Bülent had his concert at 13:30. It snowed all night and the city was all white and walking on the streets was a small risk. We took a salep in Ardiç and said hello to Emine who works there and at 13:10 we ventured to the library where the concert was scheduled. The place was close by and on the way we met Bülent who took us to the library. When we reached there it was clear that there would be no concert due to the bad weather. In Ankara, when there is a lot of snow, it seems that half of the city stops, so they cancelled the concert. But Bulent took us to an eating place close by and on the way we met a young 18-year old musician who accompanies Bulent with his synthesizer. So we ended up in this eating place with Deniz (the musician), Bulent, Olçaytug, Nicki, Judit, Eduardo and Peter. As always, Bülent & Olçatug want to pay for our food and there is no way of refusing. So we thanked them a lot, they take excellent care of us. We talked while we ate and Eduardo shows us on his I-pod a video about the Fire Workshop, very beautiful and they are fascinated. At the end of the food, we decided to go back to Ardiç café to have chai and chat some more.
Before going in Judit and Nicki decided to go back home because Nicki’s shoes were soaked with water.
In Ardiç café we met another friend of Bulent, Haci and we talked and Eduardo and Bulent continue talking about the tour and the list of friends of Bulent in the cities of Western Turkey. Bulent tells us that tomorrow at 17h we have a date with Aydan, a poet who organizes Bulent’s concerts to talk about the tours and Book presentation.
At 16h Eduardo and Peter go back home and Zehra was in the house talking to Nicki and Judit. Yüksel also arrives and discussions about the Book’s publishing continue, seeing and clearing with Yuksel all the costs. The total cost appears to be, more or less, E. 2400, including book transportation to all the cities and flyers and banners for the presentation.
At 18:30 Aylin arrives and at that moment all our friends start arriving for the meeting. Young Deniz whom we had just invited, with his friend Mustafa. Zehra’s best friend Seval, also came and Mehtap with a friend of hers, Taner. Bülent, Olçaytug, Handan. Ümit, Mesut and Haci also came so we were a total of 18 persons at the meeting.

Before starting, Judit explained what we did in this meeting, for the new participants and after Ümit read The Guide to the Inner Road to help everyone enter a favorable atmosphere for the Service. Eduardo explains which body posture to adopt and why and Handan guided the Service and the invitation to meditate on a principle. A very good atmosphere was created and it is impressive to see how easily people put themselves in theme. After the Service we proposed a Well Being, also with a small introduction for the new people so they could understand what would happen. Some expressed their wish to ask for some friends. So we sent Well Being to Huseyin, Enime & Una, a blind friend and colleague of Bulent and Zehra asked that all violence end in the world. Mehtap guided the experience very well and well paused. At the end everyone stayed seated in a suspended atmosphere until the first hugs began which rapidly reached everyone with a big gratitude one for the others. In truth, it is very special and mysterious what happens with these ceremonies. Everyone feels good, happy, unified and in harmony. Chai and crackers followed and Eduardo starts informing everyone about the plans we have about the divulgation of the Book of the Message in Turkish. 2 tours in June and July, the Ankara book fair and so on. It was a good moment to inform all who were there. After people were talking to each other in a very smooth, comfortable and free atmosphere.

Then everyone started going back to their homes, until only Yüksel, Ümit and us 4 were left in the kitchen and had a beautiful interchange about Silo, his Message, the mysterious that happens and that one can’t explain even to their own self,, and that there is a reason why the axis of the Message are the experiences in the ceremonies. Everything with Umit’s excellent translation.

At 23h, Judit and Nicki had to take the night bus back to Istanbul, because tomorrow at 14:30 Tamas and Julie are arriving. Eduardo and Yüksel took them to the bus station.

It was another day of movements and unexpected things, as if something were always accompanying us. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow.

We hope that the pictures can accompany the report of the day.

Un fuerte abrazo,
Judith, Nicki, Eduardo y Peter
