Passage through Varto, July 24th

(leer en español)
On the 24th we passed through Varto. In the morning nobody seemed very happy to be there because it seemed to us this was an intermediate stop and didn't have much to do with our purpose of divulging the Message in Turkey.

We started the day taking a walk at the roundabouts of the city, under the hot Turkish summer and we went back to the hotel very tired, so Yuksel proposed to take a bus tour to the mountains of the place where there was also a lake we could swim in. We liked this very much and joy returned to the group.
The first stop was at the house of an Alevi "master". As usual we had problems in verbal communication but we saw in him a strong interest in meeting us and offering us hospitality.
The second stop was in a country restaurant where we ate some good trouts.
Finally we took a mountain road which brought us to a timeless place where nature was incontaminated. The silence of the place inspired us very much and we stayed hours enjoying the landscape with its mountains and lakes and thanking very much for how the day had turned out. Yuksel took us to a place which seemed to be a small place of worship and explained that there the Alevi met (4 men and 4 women) for their sacred dances.
The last stop was at the house of one of Yuksel's uncles who appeared very happy to receive us and offer us hospitality. This gave us the opportunity to experience how a farmer family of Varto's roundabouts lives.
The whole group was happy at the end of the day and the moments of silence this place gave us, away from civilization inspired us to interchange about our experiences of personal work during the everning and next morning.
On the 25th in the morning we went to visit a Gem in Varto and after we visited the house of other parents of Yuksel whom, as usual, treated us very well and offered us chai and dried fruit.
At 14h we took a minibus to Tuncelli. The trip took us 4 hours and when we arrived we agreed that Tuncelli was the most modern city we found during our tour. We were especially interested in meeting many women on the streets dressed in Western clothes. Yuksel took us first thing to the city council to ask for a stand where to put our books. On going in we realized all the people at the reception where women!!! This first contact with them opened our future for the next day.
Finally we arrived at the hotel where Yuksel had reserved rooms for us and we realized it was a student hostel. The room where as comfortable as the hotels where we stayed but we met Murat, a very young boy, a student who tuned into our frequency from the beginning and thanked us very much for the ceremonies giving us very beautiful and heartfelt comments about his experiences.
